"The 2014 Chateau Rolland de By has a lovely nose that is beautifully defined with ample redcurrant and wild strawberry fruit knitted into some quality oak. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, well judged acidity, nicely focused but clearly needing a couple of years to fully assimilate the oak on the modern style finish. This is well-crafted and packed full of flavor. Tasted September 2016."

"The Chateau Rollan de By 2014 is a little timid on the nose, but it shows more delineation than the Greysac which is also owned by Count Brandino Brandolini d´Adda amongst several Bordeaux estates. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannin, chewy red berry fruit laced with cola and a nicely defined finish that gently fans out. Give this three or four years after bottling."

"Extrem dunkles Purpur mit lila und violetten Reflexen. Wurziges, frisches Bouquet, viel Heidelbeeren im Tiefe anzeigenden Bouquet aufweisend. Im Gaumen genial, fast nur schwarzbeerig, die Tannine sind sehr intensiv, passen aber erstaunlicherweise zum Rest. Ein Wein am Limit und doch genial. In seiner Reife kann er 18/20 erreichen."
