"The 2020 Barde-Haut unwinds in the glass with aromas of blackberries, cassis and blueberries mingled with hints of violets and spices. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with a deep core of ripe but lively fruit, powdery tannins and a floral finish, it's the usual blend of more or less 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc (the latter increasingly deriving from massal selections taken at Clos l'Eglise)."

"The 2020 Barde-Haut is packed with inky dark fruit, blackberry jam, chocolate, licorice, cloves and new French oak. Deep and muscular in the glass, the 2020 possesses off the charts intensity married to equally imposing tannins. The 2020 is a huge, virile wine that is going to need time to fully come together. It sure is impressive today. Harvest took place between September 15 and 29, a compact time frame by historical standards."

Der Wein ist ausgewogen und wird von seinen feinkörnigen Tanninen gut unterstützt, während die Säurestruktur dem gesamten Gaumen Wucht verleiht. Barde-Haut ist sicherlich kraftvoll, aber auch straff und elegant. Schöner aromatischer Ausdruck im Abgang. Ein Top Wein, der die Herausforderung von Finesse und Kraft meistert."
