"The 2016 Château Cap du Moulin felt a little overdone on the nose with some unnecessary figgy, tinned prune-like aromas that detracted from its definition and terroir expression. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, good acidity but the finish clams up and wood tannins seem to grab the steering wheel. It will need to find more flesh by the time of bottling."
