"The 2020 Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac is a powerful, fleshy wine. In 2020 it shows a bit more density and polish than has been the case at times. Let's hope the finished wine captures the richness and depth of this barrel sample. Blue/purplish fruit, menthol, licorice and cloves add to the feeling of darkness. For now, I am cautiously optimistic, even though the Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac has been inconsistent."
