Flaschenbewertung (Dezember 2021): "Mit einer Größe von 7 ha, von denen 6 ha in Produktion sind, besteht der Weinberg von Villemaurine aus Ton-Kalk-Böden, die auf asteriösem Kalkstein liegen. Das Durchschnittsalter der Reben beträgt 35 Jahre. Das Bouquet ist recht dicht und weist auf die Reifung hin, ohne dass die dominant wirkt. Es enthält auch intensive fruchtige Noten, unterlegt von würzigen Nuancen und einem Hauch von Feuerstein. Am Gaumen ist der Wein vollmundig und cremig. Er wird von feinen Tanninen und einer erfrischenden Säurestruktur unterstützt."

The palate is medium-bodied with lithe tannins, a judicious sprinkling of cracked black pepper and quite a structured and persistent finish that bodes well for the future. This is very promising.
