“Deutz was famous for its vintaged Cuvée William Deutz Brut Rosé but was developing a new Cuvée de Prestige since 2002. Just a couple of days ago the 2006 Amour de Deutz Rosé Brut Millésimé – a seductive composition of 55% Pinot Noir (mostly from terroirs in Aÿ, Verzenay and Bouzy) and 45% Chardonnay (from Avize, Chouilly and Billers-Marmery) – was launched as the successor to the Cuvée William Deutz Rosé. Dressed in a beautifully bright and brillant salmon rosé color and further characterized by a creamy effervescence creating an extremely noble bead chain, a ridiculously pure, subtle, refined and delicate aroma of red currant, white nectarines, coconut milk, wild flowers (alpine rose) and berries as well as densely woven minerals is revealed on the nose. On the palate this light-hearted yet full-flavored and persistent prestige Champagne reveals a delicate, fresh, racy, tightly yet stimulating mineral character, which is generous enough to admit refined, bright, red fruit flavors. This is a filigreed top class Champagne - respectively an aristocratic ambassador of Rosé Champagne for those of you who already love Rosé Champagne but also for these who believe to prefer their Champagnes white.”
