95& 98 Punkte Weine von Rotllan Torra!

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
Liebe Weinfreune,

bereits im Juli diesen Jahres hatten wir Ihnen den
genialen 2001er Amadis von Jordi Rottlan aus dem
Priorat angeboten.

Dieser Tage hat Jordi rechtzeitig zu Weihnachten
nochmal seine Schatzkammer für C&D geöffnet:

I. Amadis 2001 - Rotllan Torra [Priorat] RP 93-95/100

Im 2001er Jahrgang hat es die Natur sehr gut gemeint mit
Jordi Rottlan, und er hat mit dem Amadis einen wahrhaft
faszinierenden Wein in der Flasche gebändigt. Seit 1982
gehört das alte Weingut samt Kloster zum Familienbesitz,
und Jordi tobt hier seine bordelaiser Oenologie-Kenntnisse
aus.

Die Rebstöcke des Amadis sind zwischen 70 und 80 Jahre alt.
Das Cuvee besteht aus je 25% Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon
und Carinena. 15% Syrah und 10% Merlot runden das Cuvee ab.
Der Wein verkostet sich sensationell: Extrem dicht steht
der Wein im Glas - am Gaumen entfacht der Wein dann ein
wahres Aromenfeuerwerk, bleibt jedoch immer elegant und
"wohlerzogen". Wuchtig, seidig, mit viel Schmelz und einem
intensiven Finish! Bravo!

"Tasted just before it was bottled, there will be 4,800
bottles of the 2001 Amadis. A sensational bouquet of
blackberry liqueur, acacia flowers, crushed stones, and
sweet oak emerges from a wine of great purity, layers of
flavor, an opulent texture, and a sweet finish. This
beauty should drink well young yet age effortlessly for
10-15 years. Jordi Rotllan Torra was one of the pioneers
of Priorat having founded this small estate in 1984, long
before this now fashionable wine region became world

II. Tirant 2001 - Rotllan Torra [Priorat] RP 96-98/100

Robert Parker:
"A prodigious effort, the 2001 Tirant is a 9,000-bottle cuvee
made from 30% Grenache (90-100 years old), 25% Carignan (90-100
years old), 25% young vine Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah, and
10% Merlot. Fermented in large oak foudres and aged 12 months
in new French oak, it will be bottled with neither fining nor
filtration. Inky/purple-colored to the rim, it boasts a
spectacular bouquet of blueberries, blackberries, and the
region’s classic crushed stone minerality. This full-throttle
yet remarkably elegant 2001 possesses tremendous intensity and
texture as well as layers of flavor, but comes across as not
over the top, overripe, or overly heavy. The 60-second finish
reveals more noticeable tannin than the other cuvees. Give it
1-2 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 10-15.
The 2001 Tirant is indeed a special wine.
